The Abbot

Located near the Michigan State campus in East Lansing, Michigan, The Abbot is now the talled building in the city. ESG was brought in to support the project with a unique story-rich approach to interior design. The common spaces are an escape from the challenges of school. The palette uses a sophisticated version of Michigan State University’s primary color, “Spartan green” to acknowledge school spirit. MSU is rated second in the country among hospitality programs, so the offerings and attention to detail mimic that of a boutique hotel creating a unique experience atypical in student housing.
