This student housing project will incorporate a protected historic resource into the new development. The 110-year-old Wiedenbeck Dobelin building will be saved and refurbished with new dwelling units. The adjacent new construction is also required to comply with National Park Service historic guidelines, resulting in the incorporation of a compatible brick podium around the base of the new building and significant step backs above. The upper stories of the building are composed of MCM panels in two primary colors to break up the mass of the tower and stacks of balconies add further articulation. The top floor features a large amenity terrace, and the street level will feature two landscaped courtyards.
