James currently manages many of ESG’s multifamily residential and hospitality projects, including hotels, condominiums and apartments for growing populations of urban dwellers in cities across the U.S. He also manages selected housing projects for students in higher education.

James’ oversight includes detecting and resolving issues before they arise; discovering processes that lead to productive solutions; and finding areas of excitement on which to focus a project team’s attention—whether through enhanced building functionality or design details. James also develops brand standards that developers use to enhance visual identity, functionality and cost effectiveness in future projects.

The breadth of James’ experience at ESG also encompasses the renovation and adaptive reuse of existing historic structures. His passion is for finding and highlighting details destined to become star attractions in an historic building’s transformation, or incorporating new details that introduce vitality to the historic structure and its surrounding urban context.

Involved in all phases of delivery from site planning through construction administration, including quality assurance and specifications, James is committed to providing every client with exemplary design, personalized service and cost-efficient project management. He matches and exceeds client expectations through thoughtful management and collaboration.
